As we get closer and closer to Baby Maddie's due date of October 7th, it's getting more and more real that I'm going to be in a hospital room for quite a while. However, I couldn't imagine not being there for the birth of my first child. I was scrolling through TikTok the other day and came across this video of a REAL nurse giving the craziest excuses for why a father missed the birth of their child. Now I understand that sometimes missing a birth can't be avoided, like if you're in the military and you're deployed or something like that, but these excuses are absolutely ridiculous! I can't imagine these dads having to tell their kids later on in life why they weren't there when the kid was born. "Uhhh sorry I was at my fantasy football draft". Yeah, that ain't going to work guy! Have y'all ever heard any other crazy excuses why fathers missed the births of their kids? I'd love to hear them.
