I’m Trying To Drink More Water
We all need to drink more water. I struggle with it and usually forget until I get thirsty.
You know what they say… Water helps flush toxins from the body, promotes good kidney function, keeps your joints and muscles lubricated, supports healthier and younger-looking skin, and helps regulate body temperature.
When I feel tired, I’ll drink a bottle of water and feel great again. It works for me every time. My mom, who is 91, swears by drinking a glass of water first thing every morning and before going to bed each evening and she, thank God, is in great health!
My Plan
So here’s my plan. I’m going to start drinking a gallon of water a day…..every day and I’ll let you know how I feel after the first week.
How will drinking half your weight (in ounces) in water affect your eating habits? According to Kara Griffin, a personal trainer, holistic nutritionist, and health coach,”First, drinking this much water will replace sugary drinks” ……. “It’s also important to remember that water intake doesn’t just come from guzzling water—it also comes from what you eat! You naturally up your water intake by eating clean, unprocessed whole fruits and vegetables.” An easy example? Watermelon is 93 percent water.” I LOVE watermelon….this is the easy part for me!
This is what happens when you drink a gallon of water a day.
The good news is I drink water nine times out of ten when I eat lunch. Water with lemon is even better and a bonus! It helps prevent kidney stones. Trust me, that is the only reason I need to have some water with lemon!
Carrie Underwood is known to drink a lot of water and most artists who stop by KICKS always have a bottle of water with them. So if it’s good enough for country royalty, it’s good enough for us, right?
So grab your favorite water bottle and let’s start together and see how much better we feel in a month or so. Ok, I have to go to the restroom, now!!
