I've been a Morgan Wallen fan for a while now, ever since Morgan visited the station as a brand new artist years ago. Just like a lot of y'all I'm a huge fan of Morgan's album "Dangerous". I don't think theres a bad song on that album, but probably my favorite is actually a cover song. Morgan's version of the song "Cover Me Up" is awesome! I first heard that song from Jason Isbell, the guy who wrote it back in 2013.
"Cover Me Up" is definitely my favorite Jason Isbell song, and I was kind of protective of that song. I didn't want anyone else singing that song, so when I saw that Morgan Wallen had done a cover of it, I was a little skeptical. To my surprise though, Morgan's version is so good! Morgan's version of "Cover Me Up" has made me love that song even more.
Now I'm sure you're asking, "well Dub which version do you like better? Morgan Wallen's or Jason Isbell's?!" I love them both. I think both versions are great because they're sung so differently. I totally think you're allowed to like both versions. A good song is a good song and this is a good song. Here's an acoustic version of Morgan Wallen doing "Cover Me Up"
