My favorites in the south have always been Folly Beach, Asheville, Charleston, Savannah, and Nashville. But now, I want to try a few of these places. From beach escapes to city breaks, and from hiking trails to adorable small towns, there is an enormous number of incredible and varied places to visit in the south. And, with the help of a couple of dozen other travel bloggers, we’ve attempted to round up the best of them with this guide to the best weekend getaways in the South.

First of all, the southeast USA is one of our personal favorite regions to explore on the planet. And, we never run out of new-to-us beautiful places to enjoy! Or, frankly, run out of new plates piled high with delicious southern cooking to devour.

Whether you’re looking for a laid-back romantic getaway for two, your next quick family vacation, a fast-paced trip with friends, or even a fun solo escape, one of these incredible weekend trips in the south is bound to be right for you. So pack up and enjoy your next getaway in the beautiful south and help your health, too according to Everyday Health.

Benefits of Traveling

Additionally, simply looking forward to a trip may increase happiness. Great Coffee In The Augusta Area

We've got some cool coffee houses in the Aiken-Augusta area. I have to have a few cups every morning and we have plenty of great places in our area to enjoy a good cup. And the benefits of drinking coffee are a bonus!

Coffee is a beloved beverage known for its ability to fine-tune your focus and boost your energy levels.

In fact, many people depend on their daily cup of joe right when they wake up to get their day started on the right foot.

In addition to its energizing effects, coffee has been linked to a long list of potential health benefits, giving you all the more reason to get brewing.

Here are a few places to grab a cup!
