College Football: Tailgating, Food, Atmospheres And A Few Must Haves
Great news! Fall is about a month away and college football’s first games begin on August 27th. It’s called “Week Zero.” There won’t be a huge game that week, but it’s college football and, for me, a good reason to tailgate!
To make it easy for you this week, check out these Great tailgating must haves.
Y’all know I’m a Clemson fan and I try to get to a game as often as I can, but last year a co-worker and I decided to start checking out other college gamedays and we started with Coastal Carolina in Conway, SC near Myrtle Beach. It’s a great small town and the fans are off the chain! It was a cool weekend and we had sideline passes and I had the opportunity to take a lot of pictures. Check ’em out here.
Our next stop is going to be Appalachian State in Boone or Auburn. But, I’m not sure any of these trips are going to be better than a day at Clemson.
What do the greatest college football stadiums all have in common? They should be loud enough to register on any nearby seismographs. The stands should be as packed as a Chipotle burrito. If you ask me, there should also be a tad of history involved.
Step inside any of the NCAA’s most iconic stadiums and you’ll fall in love with the atmosphere. It’s like a drug, and it keeps you coming back for more. College football fans may be partial to their teams, but one thing is for sure: attending a college football game is unlike any experience in sports.
Here are the 17th best stadium atmospheres . This is a pretty good list.
So, pull our your team’s flag and clean the grill, pack up your new tailgate supplies and let’s get ready for some football! Here are a few great game day recipes from our friends at Rec Teq.
