Let's scroll down my playlist until we find some Cross Canadian Ragweed. You might be saying "Dub, who the heck is that?" In the late 90s and early 2000s there was a band based in Oklahoma called Cross Canadian Ragweed. They were considered "Texas Country" or "Red Dirt Country". The country scene in Texas and Oklahoma is almost like a whole other world. They've got their own scene out there, and I love it!

I was introduced to Cross Canadian Ragweed in the early 2000s and I loved them from the first time I heard them. I love their mix of rock and country. I'm still bummed I never got to see them live before they broke up. Cross Canadian Ragweed was set to play at The Country Club back in the day, but had to cancel the show last minute. Unfortunately they never made the show up, and they split as a band not long after.

There were a ton of songs I could've picked from Cross Canadian Ragweed, I love so many of their songs. This one however is my all time favorite. It's from their album "Soul Gravy" which came out in 2004. The song is called "Alabama". It's on my playlist, and I hope you like it enough to listen to more of their music and put some CCR on your playlist too.
