Luke Combs: ‘I Don’t Ever Want To Be Unapproachable’

Luke Combs’ performance at Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, North Carolina, will be aired on Apple Music Live tonight (8/24), and he’s pretty excited about it.

Luke posted to Twitter, “My show at Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, NC, for #AppleMusicLive is available to watch TONIGHT at 10 PM ET, only on @AppleMusic.”

He chatted with Kelleigh Bannen before the show and said of Coyote Joe’s, “It took a few years to get here. I’m not the car on the lot that you go, ‘Which ones gonna win in the race,’ but it’s always what’s under the hood, you know what I mean?”

Combs said that now that he’s a superstar and known as a hometown hero in North Carolina, he feels a little uncomfortable with the titles. He offered, “It’s always been hard for me to accept praise; that’s not in my nature.”

He added, “I really try to have as much as humanly possible open lines of communication with everybody, and I think that’s super important. I don’t ever want to be unapproachable. I don’t want anybody to be intimidated by me at all.”
