My playlist is definitely wide spread. There’s all kinds of music on it. For the last few years Marcus King has been all over my playlist. I discovered The Marcus King Band a few years ago, and I was blown away. Marcus is doing more solo stuff now, but it’s still just as good! Marcus King’s music is an awesome mix of southern rock, blues and soul. I love all of those genres of music, so I knew I’d love Marcus King.

Marcus is from right up the road in Greenville SC. And there’s something I want you to keep in mind while you listen to this song, Marcus King is 26 years old! This music is coming out of a kid basically. Marcus King released a new album called “Young Blood” this past week, and this song is off of it. I hope y’all like it just as much as I do, and hopefully you’ll go dig deeper on Marcus King because of it.

Bryan “Dub” Axelson is the host of the Kicks Wake Up Krew on KICKS 99 and has been with Beasley Media Group in Augusta for over 20 years. He got his start in radio by being a regular caller on the Kicks 99 morning show. He was soon hired and has worked in various roles in Augusta, including Promotions Director. He was raised in Georgia, and currently lives in Grovetown with his wife Kelsey, their daughter Maddie, and their 3 dogs. Dub enjoys watching sports, playing golf, spending time with his family, and discovering new music.
