Today is "Read A Book" Day. Now I'll admit, I don't read as often as what I probably should, but when I find a book I like, I can't put it down. Here are a few of the books that I've read recently, and one I'm reading as we speak.

Matthew McConaughey Greenlights

This is "Greenlights" by Matthew McConaughey. It's his autobiography, but also sort of a motivational book as well. Matthew kept journals for years, and in this book you read excerpts from his journals, along with the story of his life. I've always been a McConaughey fan, and I just really enjoyed the way this book was written. The book was so easy to read and it kind of changed the way I think about certain things. My outlook was way more positive after reading this. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this one.

Dave Grohl The Storyteller

Another book I've read this year was Dave Grohl's book "The Storyteller". Just like Matthew McConaughey, I've been a big Dave Grohl fan for a long time. Dave's band the Foo Fighters is one of my all time favorite bands. This book tells Dave's story. From being a kid in Virginia getting into music to becoming one of the biggest rock stars ever. From Nirvana to Foo Fighters and everything in between. This book was also very well written and so easy to follow. If you're a fan of music in general I would recommend this one too.

Glad You're Here Walker Hayes

This is the book I'm reading right now. Tee Gentry let me borrow it, and I'm half way through it. My favorite song by Walker Hayes is "Craig". It tells the story of how Walker met a guy named Craig at a church that he didn't want to be at. However, Craig Allen Cooper showed Walker love and kindness and never judged Walker's lifestyle. Craig helped lead Walker to stop drinking and helped him find Jesus. It's such a cool story and I can't wait to finish this book. I also can't wait to thank Walker for writing it when I see him at Guitar Pull this year.

What are some books that y'all have read, or are reading, that you would recommend? I'd love to hear about them.
