Kelsea Ballerini’s New ‘Bop’ Evokes ‘Thelma & Louise’ and ‘Goodbye Earl’
Kelsea Ballerini teased a brand new song on her TikTok, and she sang a bit of it along with her best friend by her side, and by the sounds of it, we may just have another country music murder song on our hands.
Kelsea posted a short clip of the new tune on TikTok. The lyrics include, “I keep all your secrets by the dozen / you don’t wear my skeleton sleeve / Hypothetically if you ever kill your husband / hand on the bible I’d be lying through my teeth.”
She captioned the post, “Sooo a Thelma and Louise best friend bop orrrr?” The new song “If You Go Down (I’m Going Down Too)” will be on her new album Subject To Change which will be out on September 23.
Fans are loving the new 13-second clip. One fan commented, “A few seconds in, and I’ve already decided it’s a bop.” Another fan wrote, “KELSEA, SLAY, THIS SONG IS FIRE.” One fan, whose TikTok name is just KY, said, “I’m obsessed with this.”
