For Dustin Lynch, getting a 2022 American Music Award nomination for his duet "Thinking 'Bout You" with MacKenzie Porter is a big deal. It is the first AMA nomination of his career.

Dustin said in a press release after his nod, "Wow, it's just so amazing what incredible milestones' Thinking 'Bout You has accomplished as a song. This honor, plus the fact that the AMAs are fan-voted, really means a lot to me and MacKenzie [Porter]. A big thank you to the AMAs for my first nomination."

He added, "We're in some great company, artists that we both really admire, and we can't wait to celebrate Country music with y'all this year!"

"Thinking 'Bout You (feat. MacKenzie Porter)" is nominated for Favorite Country Song in the same category as songs from Chris Stapleton ("You Should Probably Leave"), Cody Johnson ("'Til You Can't"), Jordan Davis ft. Luke Bryan ("Buy Dirt"), and Morgan Wallen ("Wasted on You").

The 2022 American Music Awards (AMAs) will air live on ABC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 20, at 8:00 p.m. EST/PST.

The AMAs celebrate the year's top achievements in music determined by the fans, for the fans. Last year's show is the most social telecast of 2021, with 46.5 million interactions, emphasizing fans' role in the annual event.

With just three November dates left on Lynch's "Party Mode Tour," he presented his upcoming tourmate, Kane Brown, Wednesday night (10/12) as an honoree at the 2022 CMT Artists Of The Year celebration at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. That show airs tonight (10/14) at 9/8c on CMT. Dustin will further support Brown's "Drunk Or Dreaming" tour next spring.

Lynch posted to Instagram, "So excited to announce that 'Thinking Bout You' has been nominated for Favorite Country Song at the @amas! We're heading to LA!!! @mackenziepmusic.Vote now by heading to VoteAMAs.com, and don't miss the show on November 20 at 8/7c on @abcnetwork! #AMAs."

Dustin Lynch celebrates his 35th birthday today ( 5/14). A rare Tennessee native country star, Dustin was born in the Tennessee town Tullahoma (the name of his latest album.)
