Guitar Pull Star Jordan Davis Wins CMA Award
We are now FOUR days away from Kicks 99 Guitar Pull 2022! Are you ready for an amazing show? Here at Kicks, we definitely are. And how exciting is it that Guitar Pull star Jordan Davis just won a CMA Award this week?!
Jordan’s collaboration with Luke Bryan, “Buy Dirt,” won Song of the Year at Wednesday night’s show! And he was up against some pretty tough competition:
- Carly Pearce & Ashley McBryde – “Never Wanted To Be That Girl”
- Morgan Wallen – “Sand In My Boots”
- Lainey Wilson – “Things A Man Oughta Know”
- Chris Stapleton – “You Should Probably Leave”
The CMA award was given to the songwriters, which includes Jordan, his brother Jacob, and the Jenkins brothers, Josh and Matt. The producer, Paul DiGiovanni also came on stage for the award presentation.
It was Reba McEntire, and her boyfriend Rex Linn, who presented the award to Jordan. During his acceptance speech, he told the crowd he wasn’t expecting it. And when talking about a song written about faith and family, Jordan said, “If that’s not country music, I don’t know what is!”
What an exciting night for Jordan!
We are so proud of Guitar Pull star Jordan Davis… and can’t wait to congratulate him in person Tuesday night at the show!
