Recall – Bridgestone and Firestone Tires
According to Consumer Affairs, there is a recall on various Bridgestone and Firestone tires. This recall affects over 12,000 tires and includes the following sizes and lots of tires:
- Firestone Destination LE2, size P265/65R17 110S (DOT date codes 2522 through 2622)
- Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S, size 235/55R20 102V (DOT date codes 2422 through 2722)
- Bridgestone Turanza EL440, size 235/50R18 97V (DOT date codes 2521 through 2621)
Apparently, during sorting, the tires may have sustained cuts and tears. This could cause the tires to suddenly lose air pressure, which could increase the risk of a crash.
If you believe you may have these tires, they should be brought to a dealer for inspections. If necessary, they will be replaced free of charge.
Letters are expected to be mailed to owners between December 19, 2022, and January 2, 2023.
Owners can also contact customer service at Bridgestone Americas Tire Operation (BATO) at (800) 847-3272.
