Well, That Was Quick

All my co-workers have heard the stories, but this is a new record. This is the World's Shortest Vacation Stay.

I have great intentions of getting away and relaxing for a week or so at the beach and I usually leave early and come home. I get bored quickly. I try to live in the moment and relax, I really do, but I still need to work on that. Ha!

One Day

I had a timeshare in Garden City Beach, SC for a few years and people at work always asked me when I was going and if they could use it the rest of the week... and there were many times that happened. I've gone to the condo and stayed one day and came back home. I thought that was bad, but, this is the world's shortest vacation stay...

Three Hours, A Tank Of Gas, And Some Snacks

Folly Beach. I usually get a room at the Tides at Folly and have been going there for years. This time I wanted to try a new hotel there called Hotel Folly. It's really nice with a kitchen, living room and bedroom with a private balcony. I stopped by Publix for some snacks and some cold beverages and put them in the fridge. I sat on the balcony for about an hour and then came back inside to watch some TV and got bored quickly.

Then.....I left. Yep. Packed up, locked the door, waved goodbye and got in the truck..... and left.

New record. Total time in the H0tel Folly. 3 hours.

Next Time...

That's a new record for me and people around the office are having fun with this one :). Some have told me I need to fly somewhere and book a week at a VRBO and then I will be forced to stay... I may try that next time. This time, it was 6 1/2 hours round trip, $25 lunch, $90 in gas, and a good road trip.

Next time Folly Beach... next time, I'm coming to stay all night!
