The Most Popular Christmas Candy In Georgia And South Carolina

This might be a controversial statement, but peppermint candy canes are the candy corn of Christmas. They’re pretty to look at, especially hung on a tree, but they taste awful.

So what is the Most Popular Christmas Candy in and around the CSRA? I've found a list that may answer that question. Of course most of us have candy and treats and stuff like that around more this time of year. But what do people love most? What should you stock up on, and what should you love on the shelf at the grocery store?

Let me see if I can help you with that. This list comes from the folks at Food and Wine. They actually list the top three Christmas candies in each of the 50 states, but we're only focusing on Georgia and South Carolina. What is the most popular Christmas candy in each state? Lets get started with South Carolina.

Top Christmas Candy In South Carolina

  • M&Ms
  • Peppermint Bark
  • Pez

I can totally get down with y'all's picks South Carolina. I think those all fit nicely, I love all of those candies. Now let's see whats popular in Georgia.

Top Christmas Candy In Georgia

  • Snickers
  • Reindeer Corn
  • Candy Canes

Georgia, I've got some questions. First of all, what the heck is Reindeer Corn? I've never heard of that ever! Apparently it's Christmas themed candy corn. In my 36 years on this planet I've never ever had Reindeer corn. Is it that good? I can get down with the Snickers and of course candy canes are a Christmas classic.

For the most part I agree with these lists. I think the candy on the lists is pretty much what I expected. Minus the Reindeer Corn of course. What do y'all think? Do you agree? Think it over and get back to me. If you need me I'll be over here trying Reindeer Corn for the first time.
