Could We See A White Christmas In Augusta?
Could we see a white Christmas in Augusta this year? Maybe! I know we’re not used to seeing snow around here. The forecast could and probably will a bunch more times, but we could see snow on Christmas! In my 37 years living here, I can’t remember a time when it actually snowed on Christmas.
There have been some times when it snowed a little after Christmas, but those were very few. If we ever see snow around here it’s usually in January or February, and it’s usually not a lot. However, yesterday I was looking at the long range forecast, and there’s is a chance for snow at Christmas this year. Listen I know that this will probably change nine times before Christmas, but snow is at least in the conversation this year.
I took some screenshots to prove I’m not just messing with you. These are from my phone yesterday.
This is for Friday December 23rd. There’s a 50% chance! So you’re telling me there’s a chance? Yes, yes I am.
This is for Friday night December 23rd. Looks like it may be rain and snow mixed, but like I said, there’s still a chance.
Now let’s look at Christmas Day.
That says snow showers on Christmas morning! This is why I took screenshots, so y’all could see I’m not making this up. There is a 40% chance of snow on Christmas!
Usually I’m not a huge fan of snow, but snow on Christmas? I’m totally here for that. Let me state again, this will probably change a bunch of times between now and Christmas. But for right now, we can dream of a white Christmas in Augusta. You see what I did there?
