Do you want to know what kids want most for Christmas this year? I feel like the trends change every single year. Some things are timeless, and I feel like a lot of things are always on Christmas lists every year. This list goes straight to the source though. These people asked kids what they want most this year. Let’s take a look and see what tops the list.
The number one thing was clothes, shoes, and accessories. That’s a little strange to me. I remember being a kid and being bummed when I got clothes. But I think kids are different these days and they really want clothes more. As an adult clothes and stuff like that is like 75% of my list.
Next on the list is money. Well, of course it is! Everyone wants more money! It works everywhere. It’s always the right size and you don’t have to worry about returning or exchanging it. No gift receipt is required if you’re giving cash.
Books are next on the list. Again my inner child finds this strange because when I was younger I was all about the toys! Most years though I do find a book that I’d like to read and ask for it. I do like that kids are into reading, that’s really cool.
A video game console is next on the list. Now that totally makes sense! Kids wanting video games for Christmas has been a thing since the 80s. When you think of Christmas as a kid, you think about someone you know getting new video games. Back in the day, they used to release the new gaming consoles right before Christmas. They knew what they were doing.
Toys are fifth on the list. I’m a little shocked that toys are so far down the list. But I also think toys in the 80s and 90s were better, and that might be why.
