Luke Bryan Locks In Final ‘Crash My Playa’ Lineup

Luke Bryan has announced the final lineup of talent for his annual concert vacation in Mexico, “Crash My Playa.” The event will take place January 19 – 22, 2023, at the Moon Palace Cancún, featuring four nights of country music on a private stretch of white sand beach.

New to the final round-up of talent are Chayce Beckham and Alana Springsteen. They will join headliners Luke (2 nights), Chris Stapleton, and Cole Swindell, as well as previously announced artists Ashley McBryde, Brian Kelley, Carly Pearce, Chase Rice, Dylan Scott, and DJ Rock. Kendell Marvel will return with his special “Honky Tonk Experience” late-night performance. American Idol judge Lionel Richie will make his debut appearance at the event as a guest performer during Luke’s final show of the weekend. Dustin Lynch will also host a very special all-day edition of his infamous pool party.

Bryan told us about this year’s lineup, “It’s amazing to have [Chris] Stapleton join the Crash My Playa family, but then I’ve got my buddy Lionel Richie. He’s gonna come down. To stand up there at Crash My Playa and perform ‘All Night Long’ with Lionel Richie is gonna be one of the highlights of my career.”

Luke posted the new lineup to Instagram, writing, “The beach is calling! (palm tree emoji) See y’all at @crashmyplaya. Limited packages remain www.crashmyplaya.com.”

Several fans responded, many of them wishing they could be there this year. One fan wrote, “Your voice gives me good chills!” Another fan commented, “Wish we were here to see Lionel.” One more fan said, “Yeah, u can find the package prices; they are pretty expensive, but honestly, I think it would most definitely be worth it.”

 

Bryan recently scored his 30th number-one song and celebrated with a big party in Nashville. He said of the milestone, “30 #1 songs at country radio is really crazy to hear. I’m blessed to have this career, and I can’t thank everyone involved enough for supporting my dreams. ‘Hey, hey, USA! We ain’t seen our better days’ is a come-together moment. I couldn’t have hand-picked a better 30th.”

    Darius makes friends with many people in the entertainment industry. He once told us while we were discussing his friendship with the Duck Dynasty reality show guys that when he likes someone and their work, he reaches out to start a friendship whenever he can. Darius and Charles have been buddies since Rucker started touring with Lady A toward the beginning of his country music career back in 2011 on Lady A’s “Own The Night” tour.

  • 4 - Dierks Bentley and Thomas Rhett

    These guys have been buddies for a while now and live close to each other in the Nashville area. Once while Thomas was waiting in a grocery store line and realized he didn’t have any money, Dierks happened to be behind him in line and loaned him the cash for his purchase. Rhett also had some fun playing part of Bentley’s parody band Hot Country Knights.

    Kenny and Tim’s friendship goes way back to when the guys first came to Nashville in the early 1990s. The guys have retained their 30-year friendship over the years and even did a duet together called “Like A Rock Star” in 2012.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
