Marvel actor Jeremy Renner, who was injured severely in a snow plow accident near his home in Reno, Nevada, on Sunday (1/1), has posted a photo of his battered face on his Instagram tonight (1/3).
Jeremy posted, along with a selfie he took of a bruised and battered face in his hospital bed, “Thank you all for your kind words. (prayer emoji). Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”
In just over an hour, the post was liked one and a half million times and had over 80,000 comments. Actress Kate Beckinsale wrote, “Sending love big hugs.”
As we wrote on Monday, The Hawkeye star had been airlifted earlier Sunday to a hospital from his Nevada home near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe. His spokesperson said his family is with him now. He is “receiving excellent care.”
Today (1/13), we wrote that Renner had been transferred to the intensive care unit following surgeries required after his traumatic “weather-related” accident at his Nevada home on New Year’s day. “We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd, 2023,” his rep said in a statement to Deadline. “He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”
The sheriff’s “major accident investigation team” is looking into the circumstances surrounding Sunday’s incident, Sgt. Vietti said. As we earlier reported, the area where Renner was staying was recently hit by a snowstorm on New Year’s Eve that resulted in 35,000 homes across Northern Nevada’s Washoe, Carson, Douglas, Storey, and Lyon counties losing power.
