Dub's Playlist

What will you find on Dub's Playlist this week? Its a band called 49 Winchester. I'd heard of them for a while, but I'd never really checked out their stuff. Last week I decided to change that. I started searching out their albums, and I really liked what I heard.

49 Winchester fall into the same vein as a lot of other artists that I really dig. Artists that have been on the playlist before. People like Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan and bands like Whiskey Myers. If you like those artists, then I think you're going to like 49 Winchester.

49 Winchester are from Virginia and they mix alt-country with rock and folk music. I know that sounds like a weird combo, but trust me it works! They have several albums out that you can check out. 49 Winchester released their self titled first album in 2003. Theres also "The Wind" that came out in 2018, "3" that came out in 2020, and their latest album "Fortune Favors The Bold" that came out last year.

Thats where this week's song comes from, the "Fortune Favors The Bold" album. I was listening to that album the other day on the way to the driving range, and I loved it. Of all of the songs I heard though, "Russell County Line" was my favorite.
