Are you team egg salad or pimento cheese? This is a debate that we have every Master week. I usually find that you’re either one or you’re the other. Its very rare that people like both sandwiches. Of course The Masters has more options than just those two, but it seems like those are the two that everyone gravitates to.
The egg salad and pimento cheese sandwiches have been at The Masters forever, and the price never changes. Gas goes up. Grocery prices rise, but the egg salad and pimento cheese sandwiches at The Masters are still $1.50. I think thats what makes them so popular. they’re cheap, but they’re really good. Its brilliant simplicity!
I’ll tell you, I’m Team Egg Salad. Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve tried the pimento cheese on several occasions and I just couldn’t get on board with it. The egg salad sandwich is just better, it just it! And most people, if they’re being honest, agree. Everyone that I took to The Masters last year tried both sandwiches, and they were all Team Egg Salad as well.
I think I had about 15 egg salad sandwiches during the four days of the Masters Tournament last year. Will I top that this year? Only time will tell.
