Dub's Playlist

We're going back to 1990 on Dub's playlist this week. This is one of my all time favorite songs from Alan Jackson. Honestly, its probably my favorite Alan Jackson song. When I was a kid, 90s country was big in my life. Anytime I was riding with my mom or grandma, we were listening to country. We were listening to Kicks99.

Both my mom and grandma were huge Alan Jackson fans. Alan came to the Augusta Richmond County Civic Center, now the James Brown Arena, a few times in the 90s. My mom and grandma were there! They passed their love of Alan Jackson down to me, and I'm not mad about it. For me in the 90s, as far as country goes, it was all Alan and Garth for me.

Those were my two favorite country artists when I was growing up. I've had the chance to see Alan three times myself, and every time he sang this song, I'd get fired up. I love the traditional sound of this song. Its timeless, anyone could've recorded this song and it would've fit. George Jones or Merle Haggard could've made this song a hit. Its a 90s song, but again it still hits just as hard today, and I still love it just as much as the first time I heard it.
