There are hundreds of thousands of streets in Georgia. People know some streets better than others. Sometimes it could be because of the streets available retail opportunities, its nightlife scene, overall entertainment, or historical background. They just happen to be the streets that people always visit or have an impromptu photoshoot.

When it comes to the most iconic streets, some people may instantly think of famous boulevards, famous avenues and famous roads from movies and TV shows. Amongst those famous roads would be Lombard Street in San Francisco, Abbey Road in London, Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, Wall Street in New York, and more. These roadways complete their towns, offering those traveling a chance to appreciate history, modern destinations, and eateries, amongst others.

Many streets can define a town, giving those who visit an experience.  Though several streets can bring about road rage or are heavily impacted by traffic, many streets are well-loved by the people who often travel them.

According to Savoteur, a travel site, every state has an "iconic street" that could inspire your next trip. They named the most iconic street in each state, including Georgia.

What is the most iconic street in Georgia?

According to Savoteur, Georgia's most iconic street is Peachtree  Street. The "iconic" street famous street name is widely known due in part to Margaret Mitchell's novel, Gone With the Wind. According to DiscoverAtlanta.com, way back in the 1800s soldiers began using Muscogee Indian trails as a road to travel between Fort Peachtree and Fort Daniel. Starting at Little Five Points in downtown Atlanta and heading north through Midtown and into Buckhead, Peachtree Street becomes Peachtree Road along the way.
