Mixed Use Development

Over 170 acres located on Old Aiken Road at Jefferson Davis Highway are being cleared now for residential homes, commercial space,, apartments, and more.

There is a two-story house on the site now, which is being renovated and will be used for indoor event space. Also, a couple of brick buildings with being renovated for use as a beer brewery, restaurants, and even an outdoor stage will be added to the space. The buildings date back to the late 1800s.

Huge New Development For Aiken County

Think Hammond's Ferry,  is what I heard someone say. According to their website, The developer is an Aiken native, Tracey D Turner, and is the owner of Turner Development LLC.

According to their website the project is part of the overall master plan which includes the 175 acres residential development, the 11 acres Plantation home site, and the 10 acres Mixed-use site. These three sites are currently under the ownership of Turner Development LLC.

The overall master plan includes:

  • Single Family Lots: approximately 475 units
  • Townhomes: Up to 150 units
  • Apartment: Up to 250 units
  • Mixed Commercial: 90,000 SF

The area will also include brick walkways throughout the community to safely get you to the restaurants and other businesses within the development.

North Augusta will provide water services for Weeping Willows.
