TikTok Of The Day – May 9: Stained Tupperware Hack
If you have plastic Tupperware around your house, chances are you have some that’s stained by tomato sauce. It seems like no matter how much you scrub it, those stains just won’t come out. Maybe you’ve just learned to deal with it. But now there’s a stained Tupperware hack making the rounds on TikTok.

The guy, @Jordan_The_Stallion8 on TikTok, talks about an old trick to getting the stains out. It includes dish soap, hot water, and a paper towel. Then you close the Tupperware and shake. But he says there’s one more ingredient that will make a big difference.
The stained Tupperware hack? Butter? Jordan says butter will help remove the stains because the stain is caused by lycopene in tomato sauce. Lycopene is “hydrophobic,” meaning it repels water. The butter apparently helps get between the lycopene particles and the plastic.
As you can see in the video, the Tupperware does get pretty clean. But the stick of butter he uses does end up with sauce on it. It does make you wonder if that was a container he just used… instead of being old stains.

But, if you’re looking to remove those Tupperware stains, it’s maybe worth a try. Although Dawn dish soap has a whole page on their website about how to remove stains.
Additional Tips
Surprisingly, the Dawn website does mention butter, but they recommend putting it on the Tupperware before you put the sauce in to serve as a barrier.
Another tip from Dawn: Wash the Tupperware like normal (handwash or dishwasher), then sit the Tupperware next to a window with sunlight. Apparently the sun will bleach the stains away.

This is a very versatile item meaning you can use it in a variety of rooms in the house. While I use this in my dresser drawers, this also works great for kitchen or bathroom drawers. For me though, I wanted to continue to make things more visible in my dresser. The best way for me to do that was with these drawer dividers and my t-shirts. I have an impressive t-shirt collection and I wanted to be able to see everything so I just inserted these dividers and arranged the shirts so they were standing up. These are very easy to insert and they are retractable so they fit easily into any of your spaces.
3) Clear Desk Organizer
I know, you’re sensing a trend. I feel like I got my life together this year when it comes to organizing. These organizers were great for helping keep things uncluttered in my desk drawers. The individual sizes are great for configuring layouts and designing how everything will fit perfectly in the drawer. I love office supplies so this gives me a great way to keep everything square.
4) Car Registration Holder
Listen, it sounds crazy, but I have short arms and I really wanted to make sure if I ever get pulled over that I have my insurance and registration closer by and in a spot I don’t have to search around for. This holds both my registration and my car insurance and I can stick it right into the console between the driver and passenger seats. It’s convenient and I enjoy it!

Okay, this is high up on the list of my favorites! This helps you get all of the dust, crumbs, and other bits of debris from your keyboard, and it has a few other tools inside it. This can also help you clean your earbuds, which is truly an enlightening experience!

I’ve been traveling a lot more lately and these have been a lifesaver for packing! It’s a set of 7 cubes designed to help you keep your clothing organized in your luggage. For me, it’s like playing a fun game of Tetris. Plus, when I’m packing I can fit a lot in these cubes. I’m talking about a ton of t-shirts, pants, swimsuits, and so much more. This set even has a shoe bag, which I love for the simple fact that my clothes aren’t getting dirty by sitting next to my street shoes. If you are a frequent traveler you need this in your arsenal.
7) Touchscreen Mist Cleaner
I know it sounds weird, but the minute I saw people on TikTok using this I had to buy it. It’s a touchscreen cleaner that not only holds the cleaning solution but also acts as a wipe! The cloth fabric around the cleaning solution is how you wipe away the solution. It’s brilliant. And it is easy to refill which is another big win for me. Again, I know it’s bizarre, but I use this for a lot of devices. My cellphone, tablet, laptop, kindle, you name it!
8) Portable Perfume Bottles
Another great travel essential! These are super easy to use and they hold under 3 ounces of liquid so you can these through TSA. I don’t know about you, but the prospect of my perfume bottle breaking in my suitcase is frightening and I would rather have something a bit more protective. This can help you easily avoid that situation and trust me they’re very easy to use.
9) Car Trash Can
Another space I like to keep clean is my car, and this trash can is a huge help for that. I love getting coffee and even grabbing fast food on occasion. So those little straw wrappers are constantly being thrown into this thing. But it’s great for wrappers and it keeps the car much tidier. Plus, it’s easy to connect to your center console and even has convenient pockets on the side if you want to keep wipes.

Speaking of car gadgets, these are awesome. I always put my purse on these hooks, but they’re also great for groceries or other bags. Now I love designer things as much as the next gal, but I’m on a budget. While I can’t afford the latest and greatest travel bag on the market, I can certainly afford this one and I love it. I just flew with it for the first time in November and not only did I have five books, my laptop, water bottle, cords, kindle, and a few snacks for the trip, but I had an easy time fitting it under my seat! I’m all about convenience when it comes to flying and I hate having to put things in the overhead compartment. This could easily have had clothes and other things in it if I needed it to. It’s a great weekender bag and it comes with a toiletry bag and a strap too. Plus it’s only under $40 and comes in a huge variety of colors and designs.
