Dub's Playlist

What might you find on Dub's playlist this week? If you're a fan of Southern rock, then this week you're in luck. This week's song is one of my favorites from a band called Blackberry Smoke. I've been a fan of these guys for years, and have had the chance to see them live around the CSRA several times over the years.

They're from Atlanta, and they're been a band since 2000. I think the first time I heard of Blackberry Smoke was in the mid 2000s. They were signed to Zac Brown's Southern Ground label and they came through the station on radio tour. If you like Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Black Crowes, you're going to love Blackberry Smoke!

I've seen them perform at Border Bash as well as Coyotes back in the day. They've also played The Bell Auditorium several times over the years as well. And if you ever get the chance to see Blackberry Smoke live, definitely do it. They put on a great show!

They've released a bunch of albums over the years, however I think my favorite is "The Whippoorwill" which came out in 2012. I love that whole album, and the song I'm featuring this week is probably my favorite off that album.
