Beach Trips: Bradenton Beach, Florida
This is one of the prettiest beaches I have been to. I love the Carolina coast, but when I lived in Florida, I frequently visited the Anna Maria Island area, which includes Bradenton Beach. The water looks like someplace in the Caribbean, and the area has an old-school feel to it. Beach Trips: Bradenton Beach, Florida.
The Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe was my go-to for breakfast, where you can literally eat on the beach….like sit at a table on the beach (see pic below). They are known for their all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, and the food and atmosphere are great.
There is plenty to do at this beach, like Kayaking, having a beer at the brewery or the farmers market, or just enjoying the laid-back lifestyle. Bradenton Beach tries to keep it a slow paced area, too, even prohibiting drive-thru restaurants. It’s mostly local businesses here.
If you’re looking for a place to stay, you’ll find many small motels that have been renovated but have not lost that Florida old beach feel. Also, plenty of VRBOs here, from simple to awesome. I prefer a small, simple place close to the beach.
Check out the photos and start planning your trip. If you drive, it’s eight and a half hours from Augusta.
