Road Trip To Duluth Georgia: Brooks & Dunn
Yesterday, I took a road trip to Duluth, Georgia, to see Brooks & Dunn, Scotty McCreery, and Megan Moroney in concert. It has been a while since I’ve seen Brooks & Dunn and it was nice to catch up with Scotty McCreery and see Megan Moroney for the first time; she’s great, by the way. Road Trip To Duluth Georgia: Brooks & Dunn.
Tennessee – Georgia
The concert was at the Gas South Arena, and the 13,000 fans enjoyed a great time. Megan Moroney opened the show, and when she sang her hit, “Tennessee Orange,” the crowd sang every word along with her. I thought she might get some boos when she mentioned Tenneesse in this heavy Georgia Bulldog territory, but the crowd loved it when she sang, “In Georgia, they call it a sin; I’m wearing Tennessee orange for him.”
The Dad, Scotty McCreery
Scotty McCreery was up next. He sang all his hits, and talked about missing his 7-month-old son and wife while on tour. I spoke to him backstage, and he is such a proud dad. I’m sure Scotty will have his son on the golf course soon!
Ronnie And Kix
Brooks & Dunn took the stage last, and it was electric. Man, they still sound so good. They sang all the fan favorites, including my favorite, “I Believe.” Ronnie Dunn is one of the best singers ever in country music.
It was a great concert, and I’ll be back to this venue because you miss most of the Atlanta traffic, especially if you take the backroads from Augusta.
Here We Come Myrtle Beach!
All three acts were heading out to Myrtle Beach after the show last night to perform at this weekend’s Carolina Country Music Festival.
