TikTok Of The Day – June 9: Singing Songs Backwards

This video of a guy singing songs backwards completely blew my mind today!  Joel James (@joeljameslive on TikTok) listens to songs backward.  And then he will try to play and sing the song backward. Once he's done, he takes the recording and plays it backward.  I don't know how he does it, but you have to admit, this clip of him playing "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley is really close to the actual song!

When I see things like this, it makes me wonder how he even came up with the idea.  And on top of that, my brain definitely doesn't work that way.  Can you imagine trying to learn how to sing words backwards? They aren't really words at that point.  Sometimes it's hard enough for me to learn all the words to a song when it's in its original form!

I am always fascinated by the variety of talents you can discover on TikTok.  Some are better than others, of course.  And then you have some that are just plain weird or gross.  But there's no lack of entertainment on TikTok.
