Have you ever wondered what life was like on the road for a country artist on a major tour? I have a friend at Riley Green's record label in Nashville, and he got in touch with Riley, and we found out! A Day In The Life Of Riley Green On The Luke Combs Tour.

Where Are We?

Artists work hard, doing interviews, talking with management, rehearsing, and keeping their bodies in shape for the late nights on stage in city after city. Of all the tour buses I've been on, many have a whiteboard near the entrance to remind the artist which city he or she is in. Yes, it can get confusing being in a different city every day.

But it's not all work; they play, too. Plus, they are living out their dream.  So, here is a typical day in the life of Riley Green on the Luke Combs tour. By the way, click on the Instagram links to see the videos!

Wake Up Call

9 am - Wake up / eat catering- This is where the artists, bands, and set up crew gather to start the day. The food is usually pretty good, too. All artists have riders, an industry term for artist requirements on tour, and they typically request certain foods in catering so they can eat healthy or not on the road.  A Day In The Life Of Riley Green On The Luke Combs Tour.

Work It!

10 am - Work out at a local college / professional sports facility or a pop-up gym by bus. Run stairs in the stadiums for cardio. Tim McGraw is famous for flipping massive tires near his buses to stay in shape on the road. Many play basketball, run the stadium steps and play some football, as Riley does in the video below. Tee has worked with KICKS 99 for over 24 years as Operations Manager and Program Director and is on-air each afternoon 3p-7p. When he’s not working, you’ll find him traveling the back roads, taking pictures, and searching for the next dive diner. Favorite place to visit? That’s easy. Folly Beach, SC. He’s usually there at least a few times a year. He lives in North Augusta and on Saturdays in the fall, you’ll find him cooking out and watching his Clemson Tigers. Tee likes to write about travel, Augusta local dive bars and diners and destinations in the Carolinas, as well as new business.
