Dub’s Playlist This Week- Morgan Wallen
Time to find out what’s on Dub’s playlist this week. Today I’ve picked another song from Morgan Wallen. He’s been featured on the playlist before. I’ve featured songs from just him as well as songs with him and Hardy. This song became one of my favorites the first time I heard it. Its on Morgan’s latest album “One Thing At A Time” that came out back in March.
When I saw the title of the song, which is “98 Braves”, I was instantly intrigued. I’ve been a fan of the Atlanta Braves since I was a kid. I grew up watching Braves baseball. They were a huge team in the 90s. When the Braves won The World Series back in 1995, I can still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing.
The Braves have come close to winning another championship since then, but they always came up short. Thats kind of what this song is about. They were always this close, and then they would lose it. Of course until 2021, when The Braves won another World Series. Even though my alarm goes off at 3:30 every morning, I stayed up until the end of the game to see The Braves win it. I was with them in 95, how could I not be there in 2021 too.
