Beautiful park

Tee Gentry/BMG

It begins innocently enough, just a sign that says The Falls At Reedy River, and then you walk a little further past the sign and realize this is not your average downtown park. This one has a little bit of everything....and more. According to USA Today, this Park In South Carolina was voted one of the best in the US, coming in at number 2.

Waterfalls And A Bistro

The Falls at Reedy River is located in Greenville, SC, and you'll see beautiful Gardens, waterfalls, a one-of-a-kind bridge, and winding walking trails. Also, a restaurant. Yep, that, too. Passerelle Bistro is located at the Falls. So, after you explore the park, you can have lunch and a glass of wine and relax. By the way, the restaurant's name translates to "footbridge" because of its location near the Liberty Bridge.

Floating On Air

The Liberty Bridge is one of a kind in the US. It's a suspension bridge 345 feet long and curved to almost wrap around the falls so you get the perfect view. Plus, it's supported by a single suspension cable. It's described to be "floating on air."

Good Boy!

The park is in downtown Greenville, where you'll find some of the best restaurants, hotels, bars, and shops in the southeast. Best of all, it's free, so you can enjoy it as long as you like. I went around 6:30 in the morning while I was in Greenville, and I saw a few walkers and some people just enjoying the falls. It's dog friendly, of course, so bring your best buddy!

He’s usually there at least a few times a year. He lives in North Augusta and on Saturdays in the fall, you’ll find him cooking out and watching his Clemson Tigers.
