Dub's Playlist

Let's go back to the 90s on Dub's Playlist this week. This is one of those songs that is guaranteed to put you in a good mood. You can listen to this song, and just know that it came out in the 90s. This one is from Thomas Rhett's daddy, Rhett Akins. It was one of his biggest hits back in the mid-90s, and it's one I've always loved, and one I bet you haven't heard in a while.

These days Rhett Akins is more involved in songwriting. He's written so many number-one songs. Songs like "Take A Back Road" by Rodney Atkins, and "Get Me Some Of That" by his son Thomas Rhett. It doesn't stop there however, some of Rhett's other hit songs he wrote include "Boys Round Here" by Blake Shelton and "Dirt On My Boots" by Jon Pardi.

Rhett had a pretty successful career back in the 90s. He had several hits. The one everyone remembers is "That Ain't My Truck" from 1995. But Rhett had more songs in the 90s, some I bet you haven't heard in years. That's why I'm here, to remind you of how great some of his other songs were. This song came out in 1996 and is definitely one of my favorites.
