South Carolina- One Of The Worst States For A Summer Road Trip
There are a lot of people looking to take a summer road trip right now. You want to go somewhere, but where? Where should you go? Maybe you want to go back to a place you’ve been before and had a great time. Perhaps you want to go somewhere new. Well a new study is out from Wallethub about the best and worst states for a summer road trip.
The folks at Wallethub used several different factors to come up with this list. Some of those factors include cost, number of attractions and even road conditions. And according to them, South Carolina is one of the worst states for a summer road trip. I think a lot of our friends across the river with beg to differ.
I know so many people who travel to South Carolina during the summer. Between Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, that seems to be where the vast majority of our area likes to go. Maybe a lot of the road construction going on lowered South Carolina’s score? I know there’s plenty to do in South Carolina.
Out of the 50 states, South Carolina ranked number 41 on Wallethub’s list. What about Georgia? Georgia came in at number 17. So what were the top 10 states for summer road trips? Here you go.

Wyoming outscored South Carolina? Idaho outscored South Carolina? Thats just crazy to me! I guess I just know how much fun I’ve had on trips to South Carolina over the years.
