Scrolling Your Phone – How Do You Do It?

Maybe you're on your phone right now reading this.  As you're scrolling your phone, how do you do it?  With your index finger, or your thumb? Well, apparently if you scroll with your index finger, Gen Z'ers are making fun of you!

Basically, Gen Z thinks you're old if you use your index finger while scrolling your phone. The "young" way of doing it?  With your thumb, of course!

There was a recent poll done by the makers of "Candy Crush," and they found 80% of Gen Z'ers use their thumbs to play.  Only 67% of millennials use their thumbs to play.  And Baby Boomers? 73% mainly use their index finger!

I'm not sure why there are different techniques.  I feel like it's changed over the years, especially with the size of phones changing through the years.  At one point, we all used our thumbs to text on our flip phones... remember?

After the flip phones, we had to adapt to touch screens.  We all have learning curves with new technology. But the younger generation has been more immersed in technology than we ever were growing up!

Personally, I do most of my scrolling with my thumbs.  But that's not to say I haven't used my index finger!  I think it really just depends on what I'm doing.  And if I'm just holding my phone with one hand or both!
