Dub’s Playlist This Week- Warren Zeiders

So what's on Dub's playlist this week? Well, this week I'm featuring an artist that you may not have heard of yet, but you should definitely check out. I really dig this guy's music, and I think that you will as well. His name is Warren Zeiders.

One thing that I love doing on a regular basis is going on iTunes or Apple Music and just looking for new music. I love being able to find new artists, or new songs from artists I've heard of but I haven't necessarily heard that song yet. That's how I discovered Warren Zeiders. His music was all over the top of the iTunes chart, and I was thinking, I've got to see what this is all about.

Just like a bunch of other current country artists, Warren became popular on TikTok. He gained millions of followers and so he started recording music professionally. The first thing I dug into was Warren's "717 Tapes". That EP came out in 2021, and then a Volume 2 EP came out in 2022, followed by a full album later in the year last year.

Warren has a brand new album dropping next month, and I'm really looking forward to checking it out. There were a lot of Warren's songs that I liked.  However, the one that I'm featuring this week is definitely my favorite. It's called "Wild Horse".

What are the Top Country Songs of 2023 so far? Thats hard to say, we've had some great songs come out this year, and we're only half way through the year. Can we narrow it down to just ten? Who will be at the top of the list? Will is be one of our many country superstars, or will it be a newer artist who is just popping on the scene? Lets find out.

According to Country Now, these are the top songs of the year so far. How did they come up with this list? Well its based on the songs you hear us play every single day on Kicks99. These are the most played songs on country radio so far for 2023. Being as I work in country radio, I can't wait to see if I agree with this list.

Before we get into the Top 5, lets see what songs landed at 6-10.

So far I'm agreeing with this list. However, I'm a little surprised that Jelly Roll hasn't appeared on this list or "wait in the truck" by Hardy and Lainey Wilson. That song was huge earlier this year. And of course Jelly Roll has been the story of the year so far for 2023. Lets see what the rest of the list says. These are the Top Country Songs Of 2023 so far.

Bailey Zimmerman has had himself a heck of a year so far. He's had two number one songs and working on a third one. He's been out on the road with Morgan Wallen and his album broke streaming records. It doesn't surprise me that he's on top of the list.

I am a little surprised that Morgan wasn't number one on the list. He's definitely the biggest star in country music right now.

This doesn't surprise me. This song has been huge so far this year. Its not often that a husband and wife perform together, so when they do, odds are its going to be huge.

I would've been disappointed if Luke Combs wasn't in the top five. Luke and Morgan Wallen are the two biggest stars in country music right now. Another cool thing is that our buddy Ray Fulcher co wrote this song.

Lainey Wilson is definitely the hottest female artist out in country music right now. She's featuring on songs with Cole Swindell and Hardy. She's been on "Yellowstone". She's releasing huge songs of her own. Lainey just can't be stopped right now, and I love it!
