Parents across the nation are trying to figure out what's tea when it comes to the trendiest words of 2023. One of the biggest disconnects between the younger generation and older generations is the slang or the new “lingo” that is made over time.

USDictionary.com created a quiz so that readers can test their own knowledge of 2023’s trending words.

Well, after results started coming in from the quiz, a national survey showed if parents were keeping up with the latest 2023 slang or not.

When it came to knowing the Gen Z slang, parents in Georgia where above the national average with a 82% passing rate. According to preply.com, nearly 3 in 5 parents say they keep up with modern slang to better connect with their teens.

Give the quiz a try before going further, if you don't want to be spoiled by the answers!

After all, language is a vital tool for communication and understanding, and these new words are testament to its living, breathing nature” says Shaun Connell from USDictionary.com.
