King George Is Coming To Atlanta
There is no one more excited than me to say be able to finally say, King George Is Coming To Atlanta. It's like Christmas Day to me. George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, & Willie Nelson and family. October 22nd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

George Strait ranks 3rd in my top 5 of all-time favorite country stars behind Merle Haggard and George Jones. I was hooked the very first time I heard "Unwound". As a kid saving his pennies and dimes to buy records, I bought at least 3 copies of this 45 single because I would play it to death. I even put it on a cassette tape and let it play over and over and over. My first Strait show was in Greenville South Carolina in 84ish maybe? This was the beginning of many George Strait shows that I would go to and still go to.
There's no fancy stage, no loud music or lights, just as he talked about in Pure Country, but what you get, Is Pure Country. What I loved the most was that he just sang and sang. Not a lot of talk, just played the music. George credits Merle Haggard as his musical hero and you can hear it in his music. George will still play a Merle song or two in concert.

I don't know how I'm going to do this part. Here comes my top 10 all time favorite George Strait Songs

A Big Number One For George In April of 1988. Rumor has is that this is the song that makes George think the daughter he lost.

This was one of the first video's I remember where George was kind live with the band while telling a story in the video
#8-Run
This song just takes me back to a time. I can even tell ya my street address, where I worked and the people this song reminds me of
#7-Give It All We Got Tonight
This was George Straits 60th and last number one song to date
#6-The Chair
One of the songs that George will sing in every concert. Can I drink you a buy? How does that not kick ya in the gut
#5-The Chill Of An Early Fall

#1-The Cowboy Rides Away
This is my all time favorite George Strait song. It's also the saddest song in country music. Why? It means the concert is over. This video is when we all thought he really was hanging it up. You can see the sadness of the artist on the stage with him thinkin the same thing
