Dub's Playlist

Whats on Dub's playlist this week? It's one of my favorite songs from Justin Moore. Justin is one of those country stars who low key has a ton of hits. Justin has seven albums out, and has been releasing hit songs since 2009. We've seen him a bunch here in Kicks Country, and every time Justin is here, it's always a good time.

I can remember back in 2009 when Justin was a brand new artist. Justin's label brought him to the station for us to meet him and hear some of his new music. After his visit, Justin played a show at Coyote's that night. There weren't a ton of people there because no one really knew who he was yet, but that wouldn't last long.

Justin played shows at The Country Club years ago. He's also played Kicks99's Guitar Pull back in 2018. Justin was here for A Day in the Country and he played the Independence Celebration at Fort Gordon as well. Anytime we've needed Justin Moore for something he's been there to help us out. I can tell you, he's one of the nicest, most down to Earth guys you'll ever meet.

This week's song was never really a big radio hit for Justin, but for some reason its always been one of my favorites. Its one of those good sing along songs while you're driving. Whenever I listen to a Justin Moore playlist, this is always the first song I go for. By the way, if you want to check out the latest from Justin Moore, just click here.

Dub’s Favorite Country Albums Of 2023 So Far

So what are my favorite Country Albums of 2023 so far? I'll be glad to tell you. One thing I don't have to tell you is the fact that there has been some great music released so far this year. However, there have been some albums that really stand out to me. There are some that I haven't been able to stop listening to.

I'm sure that y'all have a favorite of the year so far too. Will our lists match up? maybe so. So how did I come up with this list? Some of the factors I took into consideration were how often I listen to the whole album. Have I gotten tired of it? Are all of the songs good? Do the songs sound different? Did I buy the whole album, or just stream it? All of these questions helped me come up with this list.

There are a few albums that I've liked this year that just didn't quite make the list, but they're still really good. These are a few honorable mentions.

Y'all should definitely check out those albums, if you haven't already. The guys over at Whiskey Riff did a list of the best albums of the year so far as well. You can check out their list here.

You can also check out more lists, articles, photo galleries, and videos from The Wake Up Krew by clicking here.

These are my favorite Country Albums of 2023 so far. They are in no particular order.

Morgan Wallen "One Thing At A Time"

Just like a bunch of y'all out there, I haven't been able to stop listening to Morgan's new 36 song album since it came out back on March 3rd of this year. It's just so dang good! Some of my favorite songs on the album are "Man Made A Bar" which is a song Morgan did with Eric Church. I also like "98 Braves", "Devil Don't Know" and "Whiskey Friends"

HARDY "the mockingbird & THE CROW"

This album came out back in January and I haven't stopped listening to it since it came out. Its half country and half rock, but its all awesome! I grew up loving country and rock music so this is the perfect blend. Some of my favorite songs on the album are "red" which is a song with Morgan Wallen. I also like "drink one for me" "the mockingbird & THE CROW" and "SOLD OUT"

    Luke Combs "Gettin' Old"

March was a great month! We got new albums from Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs. This album was the follow up to his "Growin' Up" album that came out last year. I've been a Luke Combs fan for years. Just like every Luke Combs album there isn't a bad song on this one. Some of my favorites are "Growin' Up And Gettin' Old". "Hannah Ford Road". "The Beer, The Band and The Barstool" and "See Me Now".

    Parker McCollum "Never Enough"

This one came out in May and let me tell you it is awesome! If you haven't listened to it yet, you've got to check it out! Its got a classic sound, but done in a modern way. Every song is great. Some of my favorites are "Hurricane", "Things I Never Told You" "Lessons From An Old Man" and "Tails I Lose".
