Our Favorite Junk Foods In The CSRA
What are our favorite junk foods here in the CSRA? We all have at least one. Look we know that junk food isn’t good for us, however we love it anyway. Call it a guilty pleasure if you’d like, but I think I can speak for most of us when I say we’re not giving up our junk food anytime soon. But what are the favorites here in the CSRA? What does Georgia like, and what does South Carolina like? Lets dive in.
We actually talked about this on the show this past Friday when it was National Junk Food Day. Instead of just covering junk food however we talked about road trip snacks. After compiling phone calls and Facebook messages all morning we found out what a lot of you like, at least on your road trips. Beef jerky, boiled peanuts, pretzels and peanut M&Ms topped our list
So how does our list compare to this list? Well according to MentalFloss.com, these are the top junk foods mapped out by state. They used Google trends to put this list together, lets see if we agree. Before we get to Georgia and South Carolina however, lets look at some of our Southern neighbors and see what they like.
- Alabama’s favorite junk food is Butterfinger, Tennessee’s is as well
- North Carolina’s favorite junk food is Sour Patch Kids
- Florida’s favorite junk food is Nerds
Now what about South Carolina and Georgia? According to this list, South Carolina’s favorite junk food is Nerds. I can totally get down with that. Especially if they’re talking about the Nerd gummy clusters, those things are the best. What about Georgia? Milk Duds. Milk Duds? Really? I’m not buying that at all! I want a recount for Georgia! What Are The Best Road Trip Snacks
What are the best road trip snacks? Its vacation season, which means more road trips. Of course we know you can’t take a trip without snacks. Thats one of the best parts of the trip, stopping at a convenience store and grabbing something for the road. But what do you get? Thats always a tough decision for me. I’ll wander around for way longer than I should trying to figure out what I want.
SWNS came up with this list of the best road trip snacks, and I want to see if we agree with them or not. According to SWNS’ list junk food type stuff was on top of the list, well of course. However, some healthier options did make the list as well. I just don’t know if a road trip is the proper time to try and eat healthy. If you can do it, more power to you.
According to the article, people want to stop about every 3 hours and grab food or snacks or something. That sounds about right. I mean we’re probably stopping for a bathroom break anyway, so you might as well grab a snack or a drink or something right?
Before we get into the list, there was another thing I found interesting. More people would rather drive than fly. Not me! If I could, I’d fly everywhere. You get there so much faster, and you can still bring snacks on the plane. If you’d like to check out the full list and article from SWNS, just click here
