This is a story that I remember seeing a few months ago.  But I guess now, the man has gone out in public for the first time.  He spent $14,000 on a lifelike dog costume.

The man, who goes simply by Toco, is a Tokyo-based YouTuber.  He had the lifelike dog costume custom designed to make him look like a collie. And back on July 21st, the video was posted of his first walk outside.  The actual footage was apparently shot last year when he was interviewed by a German TV station.

In the video, you can see Toco performing dog tricks, but also including humanlike mannerisms as well.  As for real dogs? They seem genuinely confused, too.

According to E News, Toco first posted about ordering the costume back in April of 2022.  It's been a dream of his to become an animal. He says he's thought about transforming for as long as he can remember.

Despite this overwhelming urge to transform... Toco has often hid this side of himself from friends. He didn't want his "hobbies" to be known.  And he feels they would think it's "weird" that he wants to be a dog.  That's another reason he doesn't want to show his real face.

There are only a few people who know him that know about his "hobbies."

Honestly, I'd be afraid to tell people about this too.  It just seems incredibly strange to me.  And the fact that he invested so much money into the costume is bizzare! That's true dedication, I guess.  But I just can't wrap my head around something so extreme.

Here's the video:
