Chris Stapleton Teams With Luggage Brand
Chris Stapleton has teamed with Filson, which produces luggage, bags, and accessories, and announced the “Traveller Collection,” a five-piece ensemble designed and handcrafted, available on October 5, 2023.
Chris’s connection to Filson can be traced back to his formative years with his father, who wore Filson gear while hunting. Ever since, Stapleton has donned Filson gear on the road and in daily life.
Chris said in a statement, “It’s been an incredible process developing the ‘Traveller Collection’ with Filson. Inspired by my needs on the road and the desire to revive archived Filson pieces, we’ve created products that I genuinely use and love. Filson feels like part of my family, and their commitment to lasting craftsmanship aligns perfectly with my values.”
He added, “It’s been an honor to collaborate with such a legendary brand that creates products meant to outlive us all.”

Stapleton recently announced his new album, Higher, which will be out on November 10. He also just released the first single, “White Horse,” co-written by Stapleton and Dan Wilson. Wilson and Stapleton previously co-wrote “When The Stars Come Out,” from Stapleton’s debut album, 2015’s Traveller. Like Stapleton, Wilson is an in-demand writer and has written or co-written songs for Celine Dion, Taylor Swift, Leon Bridges, Tom Morello, the Chicks, John Legend, Dierks Bentley, and Panic! At The Disco, among others. He’s a former member of the band Semisonic, who had a massive hit with their 1998 anthem, “Closing Time.”
Produced by Dave Cobb, Morgane Stapleton, and Stapleton, Higher was recorded at Nashville’s RCA Studio A. Alongside Stapleton (vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, slide electric guitar), the album features Cobb (acoustic guitar, eclectic guitar), J.T. Cure (bass), Paul Franklin (pedal steel), Derek Mixon (drums), Morgane (background vocals, synthesizer, tambourine) and Lee Pardini (organ, piano).
