How would Augusta do surviving a zombie apocalypse? Hypothetically, let's just say all of the zombie movies we've ever seen suddenly become real. Now everywhere you look, the walking dead are walking all around us. Would we survive? Should we start prepping now, just in case? Actually, the answer may surprise you.

The folks over at LawnLove.com recently ranked the top 200 cities in America as far as how they's do in a zombie apocalypse. Their criteria included vulnerability, hideouts, supplies, protection, and mobility. So based on those things, how do you think Augusta did on this list? Well I'll go ahead and tell you, not that great.

Would Augusta Survive?

Out of 200 cities Augusta ranked 158! Thats not even half way, we're flirting with the bottom of the list! By the way, city number 200 was Miramar, Florida which I've never even heard of by the way. By comparison Macon, Georgia was number 151 on the list, and Columbus Georgia was 103. There were a few bright spots for Georgia I guess, Savannah was number 86 and Atlanta was 34.

What About South Carolina?

As far as our friends over in South Carolina go, Charleston was 57 on the list, and that's about it. So apparently the whole state of South Carolina is screwed! I'm not buying all of this for one second. I know if zombies show up here in the CSRA, we've got something for 'em. We're going to be just fine.

So If Zombies Show Up, Where Should We Go?

So, what was the number one city for surviving a zombie apocalypse? Houston, Texas. Well at least that makes sense. At least it was somewhere in Texas, if they would've said somewhere in California, I would've had some serious questions. Honestly, if some of us tried to take on zombies, we'd get hurt. Let's take a look back at some of the dumbest ways we've been injured here in Augusta.

Dumbest Ways People Have Been Injured In Augusta

What are the dumbest ways that people have been injured in Augusta? There is nothing worse than being hurt. However, it's really bad when you get hurt in a dumb way. You weren't even doing anything dangerous, and yet you still end up hurting yourself. It has happened to the best of us at some point in time.

I bring it up because it happened to me the other day. I was sitting at my desk and I guess I stood up too quickly, and my back hurt for the rest of the day. All I did was stand up! I wasn't helping a friend move or working out or anything. My back was so stiff from just simply standing up.

It happened to Cody too, she hurt herself trying to jump from trampoline to trampoline at the trampoline park. When you're an adult in your mid-30s and you say you got hurt at the trampoline park, I don't feel like you're getting a ton of sympathy. If you get hurt, you'd like for there to be a cool story behind it. When there isn't, it just makes you feel dumb.

We ask y'all to submit the dumbest ways you've hurt yourself, and just like always, you didn't disappoint. If you want to check out all of the stories that didn't make it on the list, just click here

Cindy said she got a steak knife to open the mail and laid it down on the couch. She forgot it was there and sat on it. Straight in the thigh! It resulted in a visit to the ER and stitches.

Dancing At A Wedding.

Kayla tore her ACL and Meniscus on the dance floor at a wedding. She must've really been getting into The Cha Cha Slide!

Making Biscuits?!

Hope threw her back out opening a can of biscuits. I have a lot of questions about this one. How big was the can of biscuits? Why were you having to try so hard to open them? I need answers Hope!

Sleeping Wrong

How do you sleep wrong? I didn't even know there was a right and a wrong way to sleep, apparently there is. Brittney says she slept wrong in the car and now her shoulder, back and neck are all messed up.

Scared By A Cat

Robin broke her ankle in three places when she fell in a river after she got caught off guard by a cat.

Sneezing

Ricky sneezed too hard and pulled a muscle in his neck. This has happened to me before too! You know you're getting older when a sneeze puts you on the shelf for several days.
