Kelsea Ballerini got two CMA Nominations this morning (9/7), and one blew her mind. Just minutes after this morning's announcement, Ballerini was on her Insta Stories in a raw video clip she made on her phone.
An emotional Kelsea, who appears to be lying on the floor in her home, said, "Hey, good morning. um, CMA nominations came out this morning." She pauses and smiles, "'Rolling Up The Welcome Mat" is nominated for Album of the Year. It's the little EP that keeps on giving. Oh, my little heart's gonna explode and implode at the same time. I am also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year at the CMAs. Good morning!"
Ballerini then posted the announcement from the CMA of Album of the Year on her Insta Stories and wrote over it, "Nah, I'll never get over this!."
Other nominees for CMA Album of the Year for 2023 are Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottom Country, Ashley McBryde's Lindeville, Luke Combs's Gettin' Old, and Morgan Wallen's One Thing At A Time. The 2023 57th Annual CMA Awards will air live on ABC on November 8 at 8 PM ET.

Ballerini is slated to make her debut VMA performance, treating fans to a world premiere performance from the expanded version of her EP Rolling Up The Welcome Mat (For Good). Kelsea's first appearance on the storied MTV stage comes on the same day as her 30th birthday (September 12).
Ballerini posted the news to Instagram. The announcement was captioned, "Boots: On Welcome Mats: Rolled OUT @kelseaballerini is making her #VMA DEBUT!! Watch her perform LIVE on Tuesday, September 12 on @mtv!"
Many of her die-hard fans reacted to the post, including one who said, "Yay, can't wait to watch." Another fan requested, "If you go down, I'm going down too, please." One more fan wrote, "So ready for this!"
The 2023 VMAs will air live from New Jersey's Prudential Center on Tuesday, September 12, at 8 PM ET/PT.
Kelsea Ballerini celebrates her 29th birthday today (9/12). While she is currently going through some challenging life changes (she recently filed for divorce from her husband of five years, Morgan Evans), she is also going through an exciting time in her career.
