Battle At The Alley In Aiken On Saturday Night
A Saturday well spent is what I call it. We had so much fun in Aiken on Saturday night. The Aiken County Veterans Council hosted the Battle At The Alley. It was a fundraiser to support local veterans in the CSRA.
Not only was it a perfect weather night, The music was great. Restaurants and bars in The Alley were also offering discounts and specials to help raise money for The Veterans Council! Savage Craft Ale Works donated 50% of all proceeds. Mellow Mushroom donated 10% of sales from the whole day and Tailgate Tavern donated $1 for every beer sold.
In The Battle of the Bands, each band and singer took their turn and played a set of their best music. A vote station was set up and each dollar donated was 1 vote for the band or artist.
Bands That Were in The Battle
- 8-Track
- The Mason Jars
- Savannah Sunday
- Traces Of Our Youth
- Roks
The winners are… 1st place went to 8 track, 2nd place went to Savannah Sunday, and 3rd place went to Roks. All of these guys and girls did an amazing job and it was a close battle for sure.
