A South Carolina teen was recently busted for pretending to be a cop. He wasn't just dressing up like a cop, he was actually going as far as doing actual traffic stops. I know this sounds made up, but I promise it's totally true. Let's unpack this story a bit shall we?
According to WSOC-TV, the kid, who won't be identified because he's only 16, was pretending to be a police officer. He claimed he was either with the Clover Police Department, or the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Again, this kid wasn't just dressed up as a cop, he outfitted a Dodge Charger with emergency lights and was actually performing traffic stops and pulling people over!
So how did he did busted? Apparently he was wearing black tactical gear and performing traffic stops, and someone called the actual police to alert them. When the cops pulled him over, they noticed he had red and blue light bars mounted in his car. He was taken into custody, but like I said earlier, he's only 16, so his name won't be released.
Cops also want to remind you that if you are pulled over and you suspect that the person conducting the traffic stop isn’t an officer, you can call the police department and verify the traffic stop. I mean, if you want to be a cop, thats great, however there are proper ways to go about it!

Let's talk some positivity in South Carolina. Here are some of the places we love in the Palmetto State.
Four Places In South Carolina We Love

South Carolina is a beautiful state. Here's Four Places In South Carolina We Love. I have been going to Folly Beach for years, and it's on our list. It now has a new pier (pictured above) and the food is great all over the island. Breakfast shout out to Lost Dog Cafe! Also, the Blu restaurant at the Tide's Hotel is excellent, too. Taco Boy, The Crab Shack, and so many more. My favorite place on the island is the Tiki Hut at the Tide's Hotel. It's oceanfront, and it is the perfect place to hang out and relax.
Speaking of relaxing, Edisto Island has a really cool vibe. You'll not find bar after bar and a big nightlife, but that's what attracts people to Edisto Island, which is known as a family beach. I've been a couple of times, and it's just a great place to go and chill.
Table Rock State Park is outside of Greenville in Pickens, South Carolina, and according to Visit Greenville, At nearly 3,000 acres, the park contains everything that makes the natural beauty of the Appalachians so arresting. Visitors can swim or fish in one of the park's two stocked lakes. Kayak, canoe, and pedal boat rentals are available seasonally at the Lake Pinnacle boathouse.
Next up, is one of the most famous cities in the world, Charleston, SC. This city has everything. History, of course, and it's a foodie's paradise. Charleston has it all. Plus, you may run into Charleston resident Bill Murray, as I did once at, of all places, an outlet mall. I held the door for him while he was leaving the same store I was in, and he just nodded as I said hello. But I was that close to him for a second...Ha!
