I wanted to share some of my favorite pizza places in Augusta. It is National Pepperoni Pizza Day after all. Pizza is one of those foods that I could eat at least once a week. Plus it’s a great leftover food, pizza is just as good the next day. You could probably call me a pizza snob, I know what I like when it comes to my pizza.
For me, the perfect pizza is not too thick. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually prefer thin crust. My wife says it’s like eating paper. I don’t care, I enjoy thin-crust pizza, however, it can’t be paper thin, I actually need to be able to taste something.
So I like thin crust and not too much sauce. I want to be able to taste the sauce, but I don’t want that to be all I taste. A good sauce-to-cheese ratio is what I like. Also, my go-to pizza topping is pepperoni. The more pepperoni, the better! Bacon is a close second as far as my favorite pizza topping. Yes, I will also put pineapple on my pizza. It’s good! Don’t come at me!
Of course, I can get down with some of the national pizza places like Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, and Papa John’s, but in this list, I’m focusing on local pizza places here in the CSRA.
