Believe it or not Sour Patch Kids can help cure things like panic attacks, cramps, and more. I'm serious! There's science to prove it! No, I'm not just saying this because I like the candy, and want more reasons to eat them without feeling judged. There is real science behind what I'm saying. According to Lifehacker, Sour Patch Kids can really be beneficial in a variety of different ways. First of all, they're delicious. However, they really can help you out every day. Here are three of the biggest ways.

I've never had a panic attack, but I know people who deal with them a bunch, and I know they can be intense. This Lifehacker article says that eating something sour give you "an intense sensory experience" and helps ground you and bring you out of your spiral.

If you're cramping up, maybe after a workout, reach for some Sour Patch Kids. Here's the theory behind it according to Lifehacker, sour foods trigger certain receptors in your brain. These receptors stop cramping. If you're cramping up, you can also drink pickle juice. But if you have the choice between pickle juice and Sour Patch Kids, I mean, I think the choice is pretty clear right?

Believe it or not, Sour Patch Kids can help you at the gym too. If you get to the gym and just don't have the energy you need, which let's be honest, we've all been there, high sugar candies are a good way to get fast carbs and give you a boost. Halloween is just over two weeks away. But Halloween candy has been in stores for quite a while already. Pretty sure it hit shelves not long after the 4th of July! And Christmas candy... it'll probably hit shelves as soon as the Halloween candy is cleared! But when it comes down to it, what is the most popular Halloween candy?

CandyStore.com has done the research for us! The website gathered 15 years' worth of data to bring you the most popular Halloween candy in each state. Of course, Halloween 2020 was definitely different for trick-or-treating and Halloween events.  Last year, there was a bit more normalcy.  But, CandyStore.com is predicting that this year will be "full-on normal-sized Halloween again."

The National Retail Federation shows that Halloween candy spending should hit $3.1 BILLION this year! And that would make for a new all-time high.  But we do have to wonder if it's more candy being bought, or the rising costs that make that number so high.

And overall spending on Halloween is predicted to be over $10.6 billion, a 5% increase from last year.

So let's get down to the real reason we're here.  We're going to take a look at the top 3 favorite candies in both Georgia and South Carolina.  The answers may surprise you.  Take a look and see if your favorite made it into the top 3!

Coming in third place, you've got the delicious Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.  The heavenly balance of chocolate and peanut butter.  Who doesn't love Reese's?

In second place, we have Jolly Ranchers.  A delicious assortment of fruit flavors in hard candy form.  According to the Jolly Rancher website, the most popular flavor is watermelon!

Coming in first? Swedish Fish.  This one had us scratching our heads a bit.  This candy doesn't even make it into the top 10 on America's Favorite Halloween Candy list.

We know this one is always a big debate.  You have those that love candy corn, and those who hate it.  But it made it into the third place spot for South Carolina!

South Carolinians like to taste the rainbow!  Skittles are our second favorite Halloween candy.

Coming in first place in South Carolina... Butterfinger! That crispety, crunchety, peanut-buttery Butterfinger!
