Garth Brooks Will Open Nashville Bar With A Live Show
Garth Brooks will play a live bar show to open his new Nashville venue, “Friends In Low Places Bar and Honky-Tonk,” the day after Thanksgiving (November 24).
Garth said on Studio G, “I gotta tell you – when people go, ‘What’s your favorite thing – stadiums, arenas, whatever?’ Dive Bars. Dive bars are stupid fun. And this one is going to be nuts!”
He added, “How do you open a Friends in Low Places bar? With a Garth concert! This is going to be off the chain. Black Friday, brand new bar, in the home of country music…Hollywood couldn’t write a better script. I can NOT wait!”
When he announced plans for a bar in downtown Nashville in April, he said, “We feel very lucky to have the chance to be part of Lower Broadway, which is arguably THE hottest spot in the country. The goal is a classic honky-tonk that welcomes all and encourages love and kindness while playing the greatest music in the world in the home of Country Music!”

Brooks revealed plans to release new music sometime in the fall, sharing the news that a new boxed set will be available later this year and confirming it’ll include a new studio album he’s been working on.
Garth is teaming up with the folks at Bass Pro Shops, who will be the only retail outlet where fans can purchase his latest Limited Series box set. The seven-disc set is the third package in Garth’s career.
In his Studio G not long ago, Brooks said, “The first Limited Series came out in the late ’90s. And what it was was a chance for everyone to get all the music at a really cool low price. Everyone gets to ‘catch up,’ which I thought was cool. We did the same thing in the second Limited Series,” noting the 2005 release that continued to chronicle his music.
He added, “Now the third – and I’m going to tell you right now, I guarantee that that’ll be the last Limited Series that we’ll do.”
