Georgia Has One of the Best Hallmark Christmas Towns
The holidays are almost here, and that means it’s Hallmark movie time. Admit it. You get stuck on those romantic holiday flicks when nobody is watching. Or, maybe you proudly watch them with your friends or family. I totally own my love for these cheesy movies. Regardless, Hallmark movie season is here. Well, Georgia has one of the best Hallmark Christmas towns in America.
The new list comes from Reservations.com. In their article, they state, “Known for their heart-warming cards, Hallmark has capitalized on finding those moments that inspire humility, gratitude and connection.” They add, “Given that the holiday season is full of these kinds of moments, Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas movies have truly been able to capture the essence of the season in their seasonal lineup.”
So, what’s the No. 1 best Hallmark Christmas spot in America? It’s Jackson, Wyoming. “It’s everything Hallmark and Christmas could dream,” Reservations.com says. “Just imagine walkable historic streets, western facades with twinkling lights and some of the friendliest smiling locals in all of America.” Looking further down the list, No. 2 is Telluride, Colorado, and No. 3 is Park City, Utah. Those towns all have that special Hallmark charm and festive nature. So, they’re great spots to visit during the holidays.
Now, let’s get to our state. It’s great to see that according to the study, Dahlonega, Georgia, is No. 12 on this list, making it one of the best Hallmark Christmas towns in America. “While this old-timey small town might not have snowy roof-tops, what it lacks in white it more than makes up for in the Christmas spirit,” the outlet states. “Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the small town hosts a month-long Old-Fashioned Christmas featuring carriage rides, caroling and a holiday market.” They add that Hallmark’s “Christmas in Homestead” was filmed here.
